This year’s competition included a new section – “Paint…” in which participants had the opportunity to prove their talent in yet another category. The winners were divided by age.
Apart from the main prizes, the organizers had also prepared encouraging ones: one for the youngest participant, one for the oldest participant, as well as one additional prize for a disadvantaged participant. All attending children under the age of 12 were also given prizes in the form of plaques.
Due to the serious number of winners we phased the payment of cash awards. Prizes paid this year amount to 19,125 levs while the awards are for both individual and group performers, divided in 2 categories – age and stage of professionalism, in several areas – singing, dancing and instrumental arts, verbal folklore section, ritual breads and the so called “crooks and distaff” customary practice (“gegi i hurki”).
Once again we express our satisfaction with the noteworthy presentation of all participants and we are also grateful to You, all those present at the event – despite the poor conditions of the field related to the meteorological situation in the country, you actively participated in the fair and all its folk competitions.
We sincerely hope that our meetings will continue in the future.
